As summer is coming near it’s end, I’m trying to determine how my summer dresses can work through the fall and maybe even in the winter. Most of my sundresses and beach cover-ups are being put away, but I have many floral, lace, and white dresses (and even skirts) that can easily be worn year long. These are my 3 fall style essentials that I’m going to be using to complement my summer dresses and make them fall/winter friendly.
The ankle bootie is the perfect cold weather friendly complement to a pretty lace or floral skirt or dress. It also adds a bit of edge to a feminine outfit.

You can throw on a blazer to any strapless or sleeveless dress to keep you warm during the fall/winter, and make a casual summer dress a bit more formal.

I love adding a statement necklace to a summer dress to make a casual look more fall/winter appropriate.
