Following the New York Fashion Week Spring 14 coverage has been pretty much same, same, but different. It’s a lot of the 90s inspired fashion that we’ve already been seeing, some slightly more exaggerated and some styles that definitely just need to go away (embellished Birkenstock inspired sandals, really??)

And there are A LOT of midriffs. I’m happy to see that crop tops will still be around (see my previous post) although you definitely won’t see me sporting any of the more exaggerated styles (like the one by DVF above). Crop tops are great because they accentuate the body and can be flattering even without having a completely flat stomach (when worn right). But, most of the runway styles are paired with low skirts and pants which unfortunately means one thing… more midriff and time (for me) to hit the gym.
