personalized fashion: do or die?

I admit that back in the day of personalized fashion (remember the “Carrie” necklace?), I was into this trend in a big way. I would buy Guess? (*sigh*) belts, handbags, and jewelry. I loved sporting the “G”. Looking back on it, it seemed just so self absorbed and a trend I never wanted to come back. personalized fashion

Wearing a delicate necklace with initials or having a personalized notebook can be cute (and definitely makes sense as a gift) but having initials on a designer purse or a shirt seems a bit over the top. Many of my favorite designers (above – J.Crew, Valentino, and Rebecca Minkoff) have monogram options for that “signature” look with a pretty high price tag. It’s one thing to carry a $2000 clutch, but having your initials on it? This one is a die for me.

  1. Do. do do. Love the monogram. Makes it extra special and exclusive 🙂
